We design ecologically sound human habitats. Our design solutions can be applied to all spaces from apartment living to broad-scale acreage.
An ecologically sound design is one that:
Works with nature to regenerate the health of the property for future generations
Provides for all or at least some of our food and water needs
Promotes biodiversity above and below the ground
Increases soil health and water absorption
Limits runoff and prevents erosion
Uses renewable sources of energy where available
Uses waste in a considered manner in an attempt to close waste loop
Eliminates the use of harmful chemicals
Of course, there are many ways to achieve these outcomes and, as a Permaculture Design Consultancy, our scope will vary depending on your context (vision, budget etc.). For example, you may want a total design from start to finish or you may only need advice on a single element in an established system (such as a vegetable garden or compost system). The conscious design of our living systems is of vital importance if we are to live more permanently on this beautiful planet. We can provide for our needs whilst living in harmony with the environment around us, all it takes is a little belief and imagination.
The scope of our design services will depend upon what you want and the resources that you have, we call this a context which includes your vision, budget etc. Generally speaking, we offer a comprehensive design package suited to larger properties (lifestyle/rural) and a lighter package for smaller ones (urban/suburban). In design, like nature, there are no boundaries and all design work can be tailored to what you want and if you don’t know what you want, then we can help you figure it out.
